Enjoy regional Saxon cuisine as the seasons change in a pleasant, family atmosphere in our stylishly furnished restaurant with 60 seats. In summer, our guest garden with 40 seats invites you to relax and enjoy delicious food and cool drinks. Enthusiastic lovers will particularly enjoy our regularly changing seasonal offers. Dine well in our restaurant
In addition to the dishes we offer all year round, we offer you changing specialties to suit the season. Everything is represented, from fresh asparagus in spring to delicious mushrooms in summer and hearty roasts in autumn to typical Christmas dishes in winter.
Easter specialties
We serve the trout in various preparation variations, classic fried, as “blue” trout, in an almond crust or smoked. In addition to trout, we also offer you tender roast lamb.
Asparagus season
From mid-April we will be offering you various dishes with the sought-after vegetables, for example: tongue with asparagus, schnitzel with asparagus or ham with asparagus.
Chanterelle season
The season for fresh chanterelles begins at the beginning of July; we serve you delicious dishes with the popular mushroom. Look forward to our offers!
Knuckle time in Kobär
From the beginning of October we will serve you hearty knuckles. Whether pork, lamb or veal – there are no limits to the culinary delights. There's also a hearty Pichmännel Oktoberfest beer - also in a beer mug

The restaurant of the Gasthaus Kobär is the ideal place for your festive events of all kinds, from company parties to weddings. We will provide you with competent support in organizing your visit and discuss your wishes regarding the buffet or menu individually. Of course, if necessary, we will reserve overnight stays in our guest rooms at the same time, so that nothing stands in the way of an exuberant celebration that you will fondly remember later. On our rest day you will find plenty of places to stop for refreshments in Oberbärenburg.

On Wednesdays we cordially invite you to eat schnitzel. You can choose between 7 different schnitzels:
